Castor Oil Pack KIT is a set created to aid in relieving discomforts such as menstrual cramping, poor circulation, and symptoms of weak thyroids. It includes what you need to make a Castor Pack, so you don’t have to purchase each item separately! This is a great starter kit!
Included Inside:
- 2 oz. bottle of Castor Oil
- 8 g. Cayenne Pepper
- 2 good quality cotton cloths (100% unbleached cotton)
- 1 large protective pad
- Instructions for use
What Else you May Need:
- Plastic Saran Wrap
Directions:
For Abdomen:
- Pour about 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottle of castor oil onto the cotton pad, and allow the castor oil to soak in (about 5-10 min). Do not oversaturate the pad in order to prevent the oil from dripping off.
- Place the soaked pad over the abdomen and the liver (right side of the abdomen). Cut the long piece of plastic wrap, place on top of the soaked cotton pad and wrap it around your waist to keep the pad in place and to prevent oil form dripping off. Place the waterproof pad on your bed to protect the linen from any oil leaks. You can apply a warm compress, warm water bottle or warming blanket over the pad to promote oil absorption.
- Keep the castor pack on for at least 30 min, 1 hour is better, overnight is best. Repeat this process at least 3 times a week. For acute states, apply the pack daily for 3-4 weeks.
*If you are experiencing menstrual cramps, prepare the same way, and apply over uterus area*
For Thyroid Area (Neck):
- DO NOT use the plastic wrap when applying the pack on the neck!!! Just gently apply the pack on the neck for 30-60 min and use the waterproof pad to avoid oil staining. For additional thyroid support, add the Cayenne pepper to the castor oil pack and keep it as long as you can (20-30 min). Be aware that cayenne pepper will cause a “tingling” or “burning” sensation; do not use it if you are too sensitive to cayenne pepper. The Cayenne/castor pack can also be applied to the bottom of the feet to promote leg circulation.
Re-Using Castor Cloths:
The castor cloth may be re-used as long as the oil does not smell like it has gone rancid (if you believe it has gone rancid, wash & dry the cotton pad before re-saturating with oil). To get the most uses out of your cloth, fold it into the large protective pad and place in a plastic bag between uses and keep away from high heat and direct sunlight to prevent the oil from going rancid. Refrigeration is not necessary. Keep it in a dark and cool place. Apply additional castor oil to the cotton pad when the pad starts to look dry.
